This experience incorporates a lantern release segment on the downstage platform where the Launcher interacts with Rapunzel and Flynn. While in the spotlight, a glowing lantern is placed in the Launcher’s hands. The Launcher helps Rapunzel and Flynn release the lantern and watches as it floats in the air to fill the “night sky” with hundreds of other lanterns. After the launch, the Launcher receives a hug from Rapunzel and Flynn before being escorted off the downstage pod.

·Must meet eligibility requirements:

o Be able to lift 5-lbs.

o Be between 5-8 years old.

o Be able to walk & stand up.

o Be able to take direction.

o Wear closed-toe shoes for safety reasons

o Be able to walk up two large steps. Unfortunately, the area is not wheelchair accessible, and the lantern cable is not long enough to reach someone on the floor. The width and step height of the steps is dependent on the venue so it is important to consider the steps when selecting volunteers.

Only one Launcher is allowed per performance unless the Launcher feels uncomfortable coming on stage without a parent. In that event, one parent may accompany the child.
