A year has gone by since PJ Morton delivered his free EP Following My First Mind, and now the YMCMB star is gearing up for the May 14 release date of his mainstream debut, New Orleans.  PJ pays homage to his hometown with the album title, which he recently explained via Twitter.

"It’s called NEW ORLEANS not bc it sounds like 'New Orleans' but it’s about going back to when I didn’t care about anything but the music," PJ writes.  "Really followed my heart musically on this album.. Didn’t think about anything except doing the stuff that I like ‪#NEWORLEANSALBUM#MAY14‬."

On Wednesday, PJ heard the final master of his disc, and says he "can't wait" for fans to listen.  New Orleans includes PJ's latest single, "Only One," featuring Stevie Wonder on harmonica.
