The Notorious B.I.G. Remembered with New "House of Wallace" Animated Series

March 15, 2013

If you spent any time on Twitter over the weekend, then you know that more than a decade and a half after the Notorious B.I.G.'s death, he's still one of rap's most revered and celebrated names.  Still, younger generations may not know a whole lot about Biggie, who was gunned down in a Los Angeles drive-by exactly 16 years ago on Saturday.

That's why his kids, C.J. and T'yanna, have decided to share his legacy with a brand-new animated series, titled House of Wallace

"It is such an honor for us to be able to carry on his legacy, not only through his music but also by channeling him through our own creativity," C.J. and T'yanna say in a statement about their project.  "'House of Wallace' is a great opportunity for us to bridge the gap between our parents who loved his music and the kids and young adults our ages, that were not around to really appreciate it."

C.J. and T'yanna are the main characters of House of Wallace, which follows them as they work to keep alive their dad's recording studio in Brooklyn.  When a big music company tries to buy the Bedford-Stuyvesant studio and replace it with an entertainment factory, C.J. and T'yanna swoop in to protect what their father built.  B.I.G.'s spirit gives them guidance along the way, helping them in their mission.

C.J. and T'yanna voice their own characters, and the show will include animated cameos from some of today's music stars.
