Beanie Sigel has been sentenced to six to 23 months in a Pennsylvania prison.
He was sentenced after pleading guilty Wednesday to a charge of illegally possessing the painkiller Percocet, according to Pennsylvania's The Delaware County Daily Times.
The plea stems from Sigel's August 2012 arrest following a traffic stop in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The driver of the car, Gerald Andrews, pleaded guilty Wednesday to a firearm charge and was sentenced to two and a half to five years behind bars.
Sigel, whose birth name is Dwight Grant, is also facing a two-year sentence for tax evasion, though his lawyer stated that the rapper's plea agreement calls for him to serve both sentences concurrently.
