LL Cool J's thirteenth studio album, Authentic, arrives in stores April 30, and to thank fans who've been rooting for him since his 1985 debut, the hip-hop veteran has announced a star-studded road trip.  It's called the King of the Mic tour, and will feature LL alongside rap royalty, including Ice Cube, Public Enemy and De La Soul.

"This album and tour are for you.  Thank you for being there from day 1..." LL tweeted to fans.

DJ Z-Trip will handle the wheels of steel for Uncle L, who'll kick things off May 23 in Tuscon, Arizona.  LL will wrap up his run on July 5, when he takes the stage during the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans.
