NASA Offers to Help Justin Bieber "Do a Concert in Space"
8:38AM Wednesday
February 27, 2013

For Justin Bieber, it's "ask and ye shall receive."  On Saturday, he tweeted, "I wanna do a concert in space." Who knows if he was joking, but at least somebody took it seriously: NASA.

NASA's official Twitter account retweeted Justin's comment, and then added, "Maybe we can help you with that. 'All Around the World,' next off it?"

"All Around the World" is the name of a song on Justin's album Believe.

At least one person hopes that Justin goes into space and never comes back.  In response to NASA's tweet, one Twitter user snarked, "@justinbieber...Please, do your next concert on Mars. I hear @MarsOneProject is offering one-way trips."

The last pop star who actually attempted to go into space was 'N SYNC's Lance Bass who, as you may recall, actually went through cosmonaut training and was certified by both NASA and the Russian Space program.  He was going to join a mission to the International Space Station, but when his financial sponsors backed out, the plan fell apart.  He has said that he still intends to go into space one day.
